Stable double-digit growth in a challenging time of crisis - the Spendit team led by new CEO Ralf Aigner achieved this goal in this turbulent year. This positive development, together with a very successful product portfolio on the market consisting of various employee benefit offerings, the most advanced technology and the best service, also convinced an investment company from Switzerland. The company, represented by Schwartzkopff Partners AG, has already invested in a large number of tech companies in the DACH region in the past and actively supports companies on their growth path.
"With its growing portfolio of employee benefits, SPENDIT offers a flexible, future-proof SaaS business model. A profitable core business in the booming HR tech market and a high seven-figure ARR, even in difficult economic times, have fully convinced us. We are pleased to support this positive development with growth financing," says Michael Hering of Schwartzkopff Partners AG.
The Swiss investment company thus enriches the existing circle of investors, which includes well-known institutional investors such as Reimann Investors, Flixbus & Aurelius Founder and BayBG.
"Our goal at SPENDIT is to continue and further strengthen the growth of recent years. This growth financing will enable us to realise our plans, such as the expansion of our benefits product range, even faster," explains SPENDIT CEO Ralf Aigner. "We and our new shareholders are very pleased to be able to present a new product in the area of employee benefits very soon and thus expand our existing portfolio with another important building block."
About Spendit AG

With the Lunchit App®, the world's first fully digital meal allowance, and the SpenditCard®, the prepaid VISA card for tax-free benefits in kind, Spendit AG is digitising employee benefits or completely reinventing them. The company thus offers top employers compensation boosters and motivation tools in one. This enables employers to simply and effectively increase employee motivation and also save on non-wage labour costs. Over 5,500 companies in Germany and Austria, including WeWork, MySugr, KTM Technology, Avira, Rewe and Lufthansa, now rely on Spendit AG's HR Fintech products. Around 50 employees in Munich, Vienna and Berlin are working on their mission to become the leading innovator for digital employee benefits in Europe.
What is the Lunchit digital meal voucher?
Founded in Munich in 2014, Spendit AG is one of the leading providers of digital solutions for employee benefits in Germany and Austria. The Lunchit app provides customers with a fully digital meal voucher system: employees can use their smartphone to take a photo of their lunch voucher and have the reimbursement paid out directly with their salary in the following month: up to €8.00 tax-free per working day is possible. In contrast to cumbersome lunch vouchers, employees are free to choose their favourite restaurant with Lunchit and can also use the app when working from home. Employers benefit from the digitised administration, flexibility and tax security, as the unauthorised accumulation of meal vouchers, for example, is avoided.
